Default Seat switch versions/variations.

I had intended to replace my 16-way switch packs with the 2010-2011 design since the buttons were changed to silver & piano. I noted that the price for my 2008 switch packs was higher than the nicer, newer ones.

Anyone know if there is, other than cosmetic, any difference in functionality?

They look the same in the manuals, but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean they're interchangeable.

Default Amazing!

It's amazing there's not been much if any feedback to this post. I would have thought that 90+ percent of all 2006-2009 XK owners would love to upgrade their boring seat switches to the much classier looking 2010+ version. Hasn't anyone out there looked into or tried this? We'd love to hear your feedback! Help!

Funny... I find the garish fake chrome on the newer models annoying and unwanted... I would have though most with it would love to revert to a cleaner unobtrusive look of the earlier generation!
I did however look into getting the wood grain window switch covers from the second generation (mine is just painted), only to find that I could not just replace the cover, but needed the whole assembly (per a member that tried) switches and all... The seats could be a similar issue, but I just don't know there....

I understand where your are coming from, however, since I have replaced all of the wood with piano lacquer and aluminum, the updated buttons will just add to the overall appeal of the interior.

They are just over $100 for each door, so it is an inexpensive improvement.
