Sensor on throttle body
dear all
Searching for a tiny leak in my XKs cooling system I have recently spotted some minimal stains under UV light under the sensor marked red in the pictures above.
Can anybody tell me what sensor this is. In particular, does it connect into the coolant or is not, i.e. could it be the culprit causing a minimal coolant leak, with coolant residue resting in the cavity visible in the lowest picture?
many thanks!!

Don't know what that sensor is but the hose above it where your red arrow is pointing in the first pic is the bleeder tube for the coolant system. Mine leaked and I had to replace the tube. It's possible it is leaking from that tube and the turbulence from the fan is blowing it onto that sensor.
Check the bleeder tube. It's about $80 US

This seems to be the infamous MAP sensor, Manifold Air Pressure (or Absolute Pressure) sensor (MAP Pressure Sensor ,Ladedrucksensor VDO 5WK9700Z)
That means it connects into the air manifold, not into the coolant system I guess.
Let the search continue...

I’d be suspicious of that ‘T’ fitting and the hoses connected to it, as there are no clamps on them. Clean everything off, wrap a white paper towel around the T, and go for a drive, get the engine hot for awhile, go home and take off the towel. Check for stains or dampness on the towel.
