Shock mount bushing or control arm or ???
An annoying squeaking started occurring on my '11 XKR Coupe. Kind of a lower pitch sound. Mostly when turning wheel when car is standing still or maneuvering at low speed. Not that noticeable when driving stait down my 200 foot gravel driveway. We checked all the rubber bushing in the front suspension, but they all looked pliable with no cracking, etc. The car has just over 20k miles. It's hard to tell the exact location where the sound is emanating. Doesn't seem to be down low and it goes away after a spirited drive (until the next day). I tried searching under "Squeking sound", but didn't find it that helpful. Help is appreciated but also please feel free to suggest what should I put in the search bar. Cheers, CV
It makes the same low pitched squeaking noise over speed bumps, too. I seems to lessen and almost go away after driving around the backroads. There is no noise at speed even around tight corners.
