Hi @XKDreams!

I'm still on the hunt. I've been on a few test drives these last couple of months. I might be a little too stringent on color combinations. I lots of grays and many black cars, and I want a little color in my life.

I will have to travel to find the one I want.

It’s been discussed many time before, but it’s still frustrating that car companies pump out tons of black, white, and grey cars, and people buy them because it’s their only choice. People need to unite and refuse to buy boring colors! (That way those of us that live on the used market will have more choices! )

Stay the course, Will, and get what you want. Took me nearly a year.

Many out there. Stay away from the cheaper high mileage ones with little or no records. NO ACCIDENTS. Our cars are made of thousands of rivets. Super difficult to repair after an accident unless minor. Pay more for an OCD owner who prizes the car. The lower the mileage the better. Make sure coolant pipes ( all of them ) were done. Be particular. These cars break and are expensive to repair unless DIY. Good luck.

I actually prefer 40,000 and over cars up to a point than those with sub 20..

usually means EVERYTNING needs to be done..

TIME is the factor , not mileage in replacing parts,,

FULL documentation history of service..

NO DOCS..WALK,,or just expect to pay

@HealeyJag
I am heading your advice.

I test drove a beautiful on the outside, and gray with black interior 2011 a couple of weeks ago.

I've test driven enough examples now that I know what to look, listen, and feel for. The owner didn't love the car well enough and there were several issues I wouldn't want to deal with.

Before I left, I texted my wife, "why wouldn't someone take care of such a beautiful car."

I checked out a car in Indiana (yes, I went there), before Thanksgiving, that was in solid condition. It's still there. But...it's gray with black interior. . And yes, @XKDreams , they salt the roads in Indiana.

And the roads are salted here. That just means extra care has to be taken to clean the car. And to have rust inhibitor applied, annually.

yes, some don’t bother.
