I like these wheels but once again the brake package is to small. As I mentioned I like to see a balance where the rotor and caliper pretty much fill the inside of the wheel. This gives me the buckboard look. Again just my opinion and you know the saying about opinions.
Not sure the brake package could get any larger as they are the ALCONs. But, I chose the wheel style due to their ease in cleaning and more open look.
Thanks for your comments. Gives me another perspective.

Unfortunately photos dont do the Alcon justice It makes it really hard to put the size in prospective to the rim/wheel , the alcons are actually gigantic - 400mm upfront virtually the size of a garbage can lid and very heavy
I think the photo you were referring to when said the kind of look small was the rear rotor I'm sure they are 355mm so still very large

Here's a close-up of my front OEM 20" Selena wheel, Alcon rotor and 6-piston caliper. Rear calipers are 4-piston. At the time, they were the largest brakes ever fitted to a production Jaguar, with 400mm front and 350mm rear rotors.

At the time the largest brakes fitted to a jaguar - are they still the largest the svr have 398mm in carbon unless the project 7 is 400mm+ I thought Alcon still the largest

I finally have what I need to upload a picture of my new wheels.
After cleaning the car up, and cleaning the new Pirelli tires(Which were ugly new) I really like it.
My OEM wheels badly needed a refinish. When I get to it, perhaps I'll throw winter or all seasons on them, and then be able to swap the look of the car quite dramatically to suite the mood.
Black wheels on an Ebony car make the black paint look glossier, deeper, and blacker. Its amazing once cleaned up. I never really liked the XK badge on the back, its unbalanced. Now its gone.
These are post Irma pictures, not properly detailed. Properly detailed I love it. Keeping the tires and wheel wells clean is very important to having black wheels.

Please re post the pics show us nothing I'm hanging to see the wheels they appear to be concave
I noticed that I really need to clean lots of things up from Irma's fall out, so I took some down to hide the cosmetic clean up needs, but I guess I'll put more back up since showing how the wheels look is the major point.
I'd give the wheel design an 7/10. That is based of Dianne van Giersbergen getting an 8/10 when she graduated.
The "feel" of the car behind the wheel is quite improved, reduced foot pedal brake pressure for the same amount of stopping force, and it is also peppier off the line.
My single biggest gripe is the paint finish, I want something deeper and richer.
A visual change I now really want to do is a body colored rear under bumper tray. I believe the factory 2010+ part is this way. It may be $1,000+ IIRC but I think it should be done. I already planned on going to body colored side vent. I did an experimental wrap in brushed black of the side vent, but body color is the way to go.
If they bolt up, I have XKR-S brakes with Stoptech cross drilled rotors sitting in my living room.

It is not something I personally would want to do, but since people put +20MM spacers on the front of their cars; you could go to a 9.5" front with the same concavity of the 9.5" rear, moving the offset 15mm to account for the 25mm wider wheel. This would put the outside of the wheel roughly where a stock wheel with 20mm spacer would be. (But I don't trust my math skills too much right now.)
Then put 11's on the rear of the car.
I wanted light weight more than style, so keeping with the 8.5" and 9.5" 19" wheels is what I've done. If I didn't have larger brakes as a possibility, I would of gone with 18" wheels.
Don't really think our cars really need any added visual enhancements bar the spires or xkr-s springs
In terms of spicing things up I'm going to get official times for the xk 4.2 with the 'old jaguar' performance tune should be good for a 102-103mph and 13.5-13.7 et
In your case if you have the lighter wheels you might even run a bit faster than my xk

When it comes to the ride height, with how long this car is I really like being able to put a nose over parking curbs. I find the 1.5" drop a few have done to be far to much, both practically and visually. Even the spires is perhaps a little much for me. .7" for the front and .5" for the rear - very subtle, this I would do; and put new shocks and shock mounts in in the process.
What sort of things are required for changing the tune? I'm thinking with 10 year old cats replacing and going aftermarket not be a bad idea. Hard to know if I have lost HP from age or not; but I wouldn't anymore.
Looks better after a basic wash. The two things I've done that I wouldn't undo - remove the rear XK badge, and change the head light washer from shiny to body color gloss black.

I've gone the 20mm drop and not only does it sit perfectly it's also a lot more crisper when it comes to the handling aspect ...No more spongy , floaty feel to it.
The de badging gives it a beautiful clean look nice job there !!
To get maximum benefit out of the tune I've gone 100cell cats (I would recommend 200s) and x-pipe both done at exhaust shop . I also added the xkr rear box for visual enhancement.
These performance mods sound easy enough but a lot of trial and research has gone into the right combination for this vehicle along with 3 separate tunes.
The difference in performance is night and day now .

The proportions look right in this set up. The gap between the rotor and the wheel looks about right.
