My car always has a faint smell of coolant if I do some spirited driving.

just recently had the valley pipes changed and the cooling system was pressure tested and I still get a faint smell after spirited driving.


I had the smell before thermostat and valley pipes were changed and I still have it.

I just starting to think its one of the cars quirks

LOL, that guy hasn't posted since 2013... It would be better to describe your problem in detail instead of dredge up dead threads?

well. Maybe he sorted it out and is now happily driving during the last few years with no reason to come back to the forum.

Anyway - my “problem” is basically the same: coolant smell after driving under the hood. No leaks visible so far. Coolant loss is minimal, if any (still under investigation).
