Space saver spare for 2014 XKR
Can anyone advise if a 19'' space saver spare is OK for an XKR with 20'' wheels?
The latest XKs just have the 'get you home' pump and sealant in the boot/trunk, but I would still prefer to have the spare wheel, at least then you have a chance to get a repair on a tyre with a puncture through the tread, where as if you use the sealant and pump the tyre is scrap.
The (empty) spare wheel well is still in the boot so why not use it?

XKRigar,
A 19" compact spare will work, even though you have 20" wheels, because the diameter of the the compact temporary use spare tire is virtually identical to the diameter of your front and rear 20" tires. The temporary use tire on the compact spare has a taller profile than the staggered tires on your 20" wheels.
Jaguar offers two different 19" compact spare wheels, one black and the other red. The difference is that the black one has a larger offset. Note that the rear offset changed from the 4.2L XKR to the 5.0L XKR due to the new e-differential on the 5.0L.
I solved the "no spare" problem on the 4.2L XKR over two years ago. See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-brakes-67260/ I needed the black compact spare from the new XJ SuperSport to clear my Alcon brakes, but either the red one or black one might work for your 2014 XKR. I note that my 2013 XJ Supercharged with 20" wheels came from the factory with the red 19" compact spare.
I don't know if the red or black compact spare (or both) will work on your 2014 XKR. The quick and easy way to find out is to visit your Jaguar dealer and ask them to do you a favor and test fit a compact spare from one of their used 5.0L XJs. Make sure they fit that spare to both the front and rear, to make sure it clears your rotors and calipers. Alternatively, their parts manager might know which spare will fit your car.
In addition to the spare, you will also need the foam tray, tools, and jack:
(picture copied from my Post #1 in the above link to my earlier thread). You should be able to find that tray, tools, and jack on eBay.co.uk, which is where I got mine.
Good luck, and let us know how it works out for you.
Stuart
P.S. If you can't get a compact spare, be sure to keep a Bible in the trunk (boot) and pray that you never get a flat!
