Ghostrider, have you received the front splitter?

 

Not yet....I just got off the phone with Chris and he said it's done and will be shipping out today. I should have it end of the week. If it's not too difficult to install....I'll have some pics early next week. If not....I'll have to bring it to a bodyshop.

 

Doesn't the splitter have to be painted before you can install it?

 

I like the flat white fiberglass look for the splitter.......it complement the rest of the car which is black........JK!

I had Mina paint it before sending it to me....because the bodyshop they used wasn't up to par with the paint job the first time....Mina had the bodyshop repaint it and thus the delay or else I would have had it 2 weeks ago.

Actually....the weather has been very nice here in Chicago this week that I've been driving the SL65 and haven't touched the Jag. Can't beat the top down and extra power.

 

Got the splitter this morning from Chris at Mina....will try to look at it this weekend when I have time.

 

Thats great it arrived! I'm surprised it's in one piece, I thought it was a 3 piece set? Is that b/c you had it painted beforehand?

Anyway you must be psyched... I'm sure it will look great on the car as the other mods do.

 

The replica is one piece. The OEM is 3 pieces but dealers in the U.S. can't get the '08 XKRS front Splitter.

There are some fitment issues that I've notified Chris at Mina today and he's planning to correct them. At this time I'm unsure if I want this splitter as I'm planning to get the 2010 or 2012 bumper for this coming winter project....I guess it all depends when a new one can be sent to me. Chris is suppose to get back to me on Monday....
