Default Stock fuel pump ok?

Some guys were going back and forth in a thread about weather you need a bigger fuel pump for 500+ HP. Some guys said stock was fine past 500. Others said IAT ran cooler with 255lph pump. Any thoughts? I'm at 100,000, don't know what previous owner did. Should I replace it or if it ain't broke don't fix it with this one?

Maybe instead of a different fuel pump, just rerun some larger lines with less restriction?

Thats a good cheap mod. I heard about a booster pump? Gonna look into that. So not a sheduled part to replace? It just seems sketchy to wait till it fails.

Way I've heard, a booster pump will mess up with the stock pump and ECU, as the pump is a variable flow unit which is controlled BY the ECU. If that is indeed correct, I'd think that the only possible improvements would be had by optimizing what's already there and leaving the tricky bits alone. That's why I thought of the New Line. One straight length of 1/2" stainless braided teflon with AN fittings is what I did to my P/S Mustang, and it's been completely reliable and always steady. One long, continuous flow with zero obstructions from Start to Finish can only help. Half-inch MAY be a bit more than our cars NEED, but why not?

Take it from someone who actually is running 500hp plus. NO you should not be concerned with your duel pump.
sc pump will help with iat some. I see your near San Diego , we can do thermostat upgrade, sc pump upgrade, ecu tune , lower temp sparks plugs and you will be good !
