My 2006 XKR will not start with no CATS, no DSC, Park brake on warning lights. Battery is not old but tried jump stat as well. Tried disconnecting earth lead. I read about a squeaking secondary immobiliser and I have had that noise. Would that shut down the car? Can it be bypassed - fuse removed?

The reason this is important is, I have a spare fully charged battery in my garage and, if you were local I'd lend it to you.

Other X150 owners would doubtless do the same, but not if you were in Outer Mongolia

 

Sorry for delay and thanks for the offer. Battery is ok. Car now in Jag Dealership in Boulogne. I am in Lille en route to London. Fault messages all over the place but I am confident that the garage will act properly and if, for example there is a faulty sensor but the car will work without the sensor that is what they will do. ‘Reparation avec Fortune’ apparently!

Could the no start be anything to do with a recent squeaky/Geiger counter sound from ??alarm under airbag on R/H side near bulkhead under airbag?

If you are still in Lille about 120 miles away from the Boulogne dealer, it's far from ideal. Have they got as far as a diagnostics session yet and if so, what codes are reported?

Also you didn't mention whether the engine cranks or is totally dead.
