Default Switching forums from X350 to X150

Hello to the XK/XKR (X150) forum.
Having been the owner of a 2006 XJ8 for 12 years (and around 100,000km) I've decided to switch forums and replace my old toy...

The new toy is a 2011 XK Portfolio in Indigo Blue with Caramel interior.
Imported from Japan in 2018, I believe I am the 3rd New Zealand Owner of this car (excluding dealers).
The XJ8 was my daily driver for 5 years, but that duty (and the TARDI5 plate) was taken over by a VW Tiguan. With just over 48,000km on the clock, the XK won't be a daily driver, but the Tiguan will just have to get used to sharing the garage with a new mistress.

Welcome David. Still keeping my X350 XJR - a brilliant car. You'll find this group just as friendly and helpful.

Cheers

When the transmission of my 2001 XJ underwent catastrophic self-disassembly, my wife talked me into a CLS550. Nice car, but compared to the XJ it was just another grey sedan. Now my son drives the CLS and I have an XKR, and we're all happy.

No harm in using as a daily driver though. My XK had 47,000kms on it when purchased, now on 79,0000. Hasn’t really given me any problems. Anyway, another Kiwi XK owner always welcome 😊

Welcome David,
You'll find a lot of great information on this forum from a lot of knowledgeable members who are so generous with their wisdom. I've had my 2010 XKR for 11 years and have passed 220,000 miles. Unquestionably, the finest automobile I've ever owned in 57 years of driving. I'd give up my gorgeous 30+year owned De Tomaso Pantera before I'd give up my XKR.
Enjoy your new car, you will love it.
Ted
