Hi colleagues, as far as I have seen this has not been discussed here: a simple, easy and cheap way to delete the Taurus chrome bar at the early models to have a "pure" mesh grille. My car is a 2008 XK.
These are the steps: jack up the front of your car safely - take off two undertrays (the big one and below another little one - both with a lot of T50 screws, but all are easy to spot) - feel six from below not visible 9mm screws of the chrome-strip behind the grille above the double-horn as shown in the picture (two behind the round Jag-badge, four at both sides of the chrome strip) and remove - take off the complete chrome bar - pry out the badge that is only glued from the chrome bar - put on the original (about 55mm) badge or as a perfect fit a new max. 85mm Jag badge (that I still need to order/install).
If this is already widely known, just ignore the info. ;-)
