It’s indeed inspired by Maserati grille, does look too big on the car, maybe add a couple more slats and paint the surround body colors, hmmm, a large chrome leaper might break up the black and bleed everything together

If you keep it, paint the impact bar behind it, black.

Yeah I swapped the grille in my XKR to black but it had the silver impact bar behind it, so I had to take the black grille out, pray the ipact bar black, and then clip the grille back in and it looked perfect.

This one is interesting, probably look pretty sweet with the bar painted black

The crush bar will definitely be painted black, sensors will be mounted to their original housing on the horizontal bar, cut out to fit, they will either be between the slats on the bottom part of the grille, or above the chin spoiler

supports are not yet in the final version, I mounted them to verify the functionality of the sensors.

it is not possible to remove a sensor, otherwise the whole line will no longer work.

Mounted it to the car and found out the screw holes do not really line up, i was only able to bolt down the top and bottom center screws, as a result the left and right do not sit flush, and i lost all interests to make the impact bar pretty, it’s definitely not my lack of wrapping skill!

But i carried on anyways and so far i really like the way it looks in person, from standing height it looks smaller and more proportional.

a bonus with so much open space now is that i can unbolt it without removing the bumper, though I’m not sure what benefit it offers for now.

Time to double down and make it pretty, plan is to fill the screw holes with plastic epoxy putty and drill and tap with the part on the bumper.

The slats will be refitted with epoxy putty, right now they are held on by a combination of super glue, fabric glue and construction glue, whatever i had and thought would work. They are also noticeably crooked.

Once all is said and done i will sand everything down and have it painted gloss black.

svr style lip splitter is also on the way, i think it’s going to look great!

Also does anyone know what are the circles objects in the second pic, mounted under the crash bar?

I think those are the horns. From my research there are two horns that are on a bracket that mount to the crash bar. I looked into that because I think I'll replace them with some Hella Supertones when I finally get around to swapping the grille.

always thought the horn were the one near the cabin air filter, guess that’s the chirper or alarm then.

Do you needs any pictures to prepare for the work?

Yep, those are indeed the twin vehicle horns.

That's definitely the chirper, or whatever the proper technical term is. I forget about that because the I set mine to not chirp as soon as I got the car home. I find it annoying.

Thanks for the offer of pictures. I think I know what I need to do though, so no need to bother. The stock units have a post on the top that goes to the bracket while the Supertones have a post on the back. I think an angle bracket that bolts in place of the stock horns for the new ones would do it, although I'm not sure if it will need to have additional support. The Supertones are bigger and heavier, and I wouldn't want them to fatigue the bracket.

If it looks bad, the stock ones stay on until I can figure out a more robust bracket.
