Hi all,
In these days I'm mounting the e-peace grille and have been working out a way to fit the parking sensors.
In this regard, before making changes to the originals parking sensors, I bought a pair of sensors that I could work on, which I filed to fit them into the e-pace grille.
For this reason, I ask if it is necessary a reprogramming or if once mounted they could work.
One more thing, is there a way to reset the parking sensors?
No re-programming available , or necessary. Good luck.

Ok Thanks.
One more thing, if one parking sensor doesn't work will it mean that the whole system won't work? or will the others sensors continue to work correctly?

Thanks for the document describing the operation of the parking aid system. Here's what I tried to do.
I bought two types of compatible sensors for f-type: these of the same height as the original ones

And these higher than the originals, so as to make them protrude more on the e-pace grille

I filed them both as in the photo,
I filed them both as pictured, so they fit into the holes in the e-pace grille. I mounted the shorter one on the left and the taller one on the right. The result is that both work but they fire differently (which I think is normal). Also sometimes I have false positives and sometimes they don't activate, probably because they are slightly inclined downwards and not perfectly parallel to the asphalt. Or because they are not original, I don't know. Do you have any suggestions?

I don't know if they can be left disconnected. However the front sensors are important on this car. It has quite a long hood and to me they better be there. I'll settle that they don't work perfectly rather than take them off.
I have no way to check if errors are recorded by the parking sensor control unit because my diagnostic tool (icarsoft lr v. 2.0) cannot connect to parking sensors ecu.

I believe you have the sensors too far back in the grill, which gives false alarms.

After doing some testing, I couldn't get the parking sensors on the grille to work. Probably because they are too far behind, as well as you said. I placed them on the black plastics below the grille and they seem to work fine here. I have to do some other tests but it seems to me the only way forward.
supports are not yet in the final version, I mounted them to verify the functionality of the sensors.
it is not possible to remove a sensor, otherwise the whole line will no longer work.
Just come across your solution to relocation of parking sensors when fitting P7/E-Pace grille. I think this is the best, neatest option I have seen to date. Did you do any further testing on the sensors mounted in the lower panels? Do they function correctly with no false alarms? I would like to copy this solution for my winter project to remove front cross-bar.
Hi, I can confirm that after doing about twenty tests I managed to find the correct position to make it work perfectly.
Unfortunately they don't fit the holes in the e-pace grille and so I had to find an alternative solution. in this mode the front grille is completely free and the visual impact is, in my opinion, better.
Thanks and totally agree that your solution is the cleanest out there in terms of visuals. I've ordered some new lower covers (Jack plug cover right/left, T2R22317 & T2R22318, £30 from Britcar) and compatible PDC sensor mounts, so will be able to modify the covers prior to the heavy work of removing/replacing bumper. I've tried to zoom in on the new picture you uploaded, but can't see where you ended up positioning the sensors. Could you please upload a close up of the new sensor location in the covers, so that I can get the measurement correct when I carry out my own mod. Many thanks.
I doubt you will be able to use the covers you ordered. behind them you have full plastic of the bumper that you would have to drill... I created supports from scratch with the 3D printer and anchored them to the rear support of the bumper. I wasted a lot of time finding the correct inclination...
Wow! Even more impressed with your front park sensor solution. Really good piece of work there, I thought the covers/mounting location were stock when I first saw them, well done. Now that I fully understand how you carried out the sensor relocation, I can follow your approach and fabricate new covers that stand off from the bumper to provide space to locate the sensors behind. Thanks for your hard work and inspiration, still the neatest solution out there.
Hello all, I'm in a similar situation..ended up fitting an epace grill with new cf surround and the two middle front sensors no longer have a slot...I'm cautious when parking and honestly don't care if they're disconnected and won't "alert" me.. bumper is back off with some other tweaks to the car but before getting it all back on and starting the car I was wondering if anyone knew if the car will have any dash warning lights because the two inner front sensors are not installed (unplugged and removed). I know most folks want the sensors but with the extra hassle of retrofitting them somehow..I was hoping to just tuck the wiring in and do without. Any info on this? Otherwise I'll get the front bumper all back on and together and find out..just rather know beforehand and if there is some sort of fault or dash lights...then I'll likely attempt getting the sensors fitted up front somewhere.
If the E-Pace grill is the same as the Project 7, then here is the package for making 3D printed holders for the sensors. Not positive who here created it at this point… https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/c50tb...=xvnst8eh&dl=0

I dont believe it's the same, just closely resembles the p7 style. Easier to obtain and far cheaper to get an Epace grill but that p7 version would have been great👍🏻
Thank you! I will likely attempt to go this route if there is any dash faults.
