Default P7 grille parking sensors

Has anyone who’s fitted an OEM p7 grill and installed parking sensors managed to get the parking sensors to operate like before the mod.
I understand there are some issues with the sensors picking up a signal possible from the grill itself.

Hi Dale
Here's my guess
firstly orientation they need to be as per the orig
So from the front
The right sensor plug should be horizontal and going left
and left sensor plug horizontal to the right
Next up the sensor must be flush
Alistairs are recessed so will be picking up bounce back from the grill
Andre looks like its a blob of gloop with the sensor splogged into it
again this will likely be picking up stray signal bounce

If a sensor works on a flush fitting then that is what needs to be achieved on a p7 grill
I am planning on making one

A fellow forum member created a set of flush sensor mounts for me. I can't find their contact in my inbox otherwise I'd provide it but I think if you search through some previous post it was given to me as a reply to a post. I took my car to a high end car body shop and they were able to put it in the right spot (my car is also lowered by 1.7" with a set of H&R coils) and I don't have any issues with any false or premature triggers.

Congrats on getting a P7 grill and good luck with the install. One of my favorite upgrade that I've had done. Are you doing the install yourself?

Would be great to see a photo of those.

A long, long, long time ago, like 2020, former member Meister_Kajo, located in Germany, made 3-D printed sensor mounts and sold them to forum members. I believe for $100

Unfortunately, he has not been active for sometime.

That is interesting. I'll let Datriani chime in, but those look like Meister_Kajo too. Mine snapped with no fit issue nor sensor adjust issue. What is not working properly?

I've released my version of the sensor mounts that I used on my own paramount grille (check signature). It would be easy to modify the files for more forward poke if you are concerned with false positives. My own car (also lowered on HR springs) has full functionality on the sensors and has no problems with false positives.
