Default Tilt/Telescoping steering wheel problem

2009 XKR
Tilt function works great in manual but will not retract in auto.
Stored the position in memory and the wheel will go to position when memory is selected and the tilt control is in manual mode.
No response when in auto and the memory selected.

Another problem is that the driver side mirror will not dip in reverse.
Any ideas?
regards.

I've never used the Auto Retract wheel so I don't know about that.
Are your Mirror Dips turned on in the settings? You say one side doesn't work, but nothing about the other side. Does it make any noise, or create any vibrations that would indicate the motor works? Has the inside door panel ever been off?

Default My bad!

The driver side mirror is not designed to move in reverse on purpose Doh!

So, that means your car doesn't have tilt mirrors installed? Yeah, that'd be a reason they don't do that.

The passenger side is the only one that tilts.

Well, ****. I never use dips in my XKR, and wife's Lexus dips both. My truck has huge mirrors and convex parts so no need. I just assumed, I guess. That's kinda stupid they don't both dip. It's a very small amount it moves as it is.

Default Easy in and out function.

The Steering wheel on the XK does not retract when switched to Auto. It only tilts upward. As per Jaguar.
Different than the XK8!
