Default Tire Not Monitored

Hey Folks, 2013 XKR I have 2 faults, (Tire Not Monitored, then Tire Presure System Fault). I have emptied the tire with engine off and on and re filled, Still have the errors. I have not touched the battery cables to reset yet as we know thats a pain. There is some things written on this but seems different. Also, hit cancel on the wheel with no luck. Anyone else solve this 2 fault issue?

Have your TPMS sensors checked by a tire shop, it's free. Eleven year old sensors run out of battery power. Non-replaceable batteries on those, so you would probably need all four anyway if one was bad.

Those ARE the ones you SHOULD use. Those are the newer version of Seimens 53004, which were correct until superseded.

Inability to sleep came with the territory.

Long ago, and far away.

I'm using one of these as an interim answer until I get to further investigating the pesky TPMS problem.
At least, it offers peace of mind ... It's a standalone bluetooth TPMS monitor I found on Ama.....
Amazon Amazon
I have one in DD too....

bluetooth tpms monitor? The sensors don't speak bluetooth.
Nor is there any explanation of the frequencies monitored, at the advertisement page.

Precisely the reason I have no issue with working different time zones or being on watch in 4 or 6 hour shifts...

Getting back to @RWS1965 original post, Following the battery change, did you take the car for a spin? As per the manual, there is a relearning process for the ECM and TPMS (and TCM) that can be invoked through a proper test drive process.
Also, there are specific TPMS DTCs that should give an indication of the issue.

Cheers.

Me, I got enough sleep... I just couldn't TALK in my sleep. Or while awake, for that matter.
Three decades past.

The EU and GB use 433 MHz while the Rest Of the World uses 315 MHz, so unless there is something I don't know, every ROW vehicle needs any sensor that is 315 MHz. The VDO (Siemens) sensors are the usual go-to for a lot of members of this forum.

The VDO ones are not listed for a 2014 in RockAuto. Com. Schrader is a good brand and they are 315 frequency. Is there a difference in the 2013 and 2014?

No answers, just more questions:
I have fought the blinking tire lights for some time.Replaced several sensors and the blinking persists.
Once I find some local with the ability, mine will will be 'deleted'.
Yesterday one tire was indicated followed by the system not monitored warning. This is a new warning for me.
Does that indicate that a tpms sensor battery is dead? or has the system just finally failed?

Did you replace all 4 sensors? They have a battery life of around 7 years or so.

nope, just followed the blinking lights, replacing as I saw them, to no avail.
At this point in time will turn off the system before going for 4 new ones again.
Just asking if a totally dead sensor activates the red warning @ tire monitors sensor.

btw...are you going to the texas mile in a couple of weeks?
