Default Tire Pressure Monitor

I bent a wheel and had to have it fixed. The wheel was off the car for a day and consequently got a toms system fault on dash. I've the tire back on but the system fault message has not reset.
Before the tire went back on I had a "tire not monitored" message...that's now gone, but the system fault message remains.
Is the computer supposed to reset, or does the code have to be cleared manually?
TIA

Thanks Tom

The fault went out on the way back from Chili's...

I guess it just took a few drive cycles to clear itself after the wheel was put back on.
