Transmission Pan Leaking - WTF

Mechanic said transmission pan is leaking. The car has only 26K miles, WTF! I planned on doing the pan/filter change at 60K, but 26K????

Anyone else have an early leaker?

Was in for an oil change and mechanic said rear pads are close to done. May get them changed today if he can get the pads in short order. Girlfriend driving the Jag today needs the car 2 hours from now. I can bring it back next week if need be and do both services. I think the transmission pan/filter/fluid kit is under $300
