Default Transmission question

I noticed the transmission is tapping more, when i select reverse to get out of the parking space, or when i released my feet of the accelerator, much more than it used to be, could it be related to a cylinblocs?

Any advice on what can be done to a 22 000 km transmission. thank you.

Mine has a similar issue. Sometimes when I go from park to reverse (without pressing the gas pedal), it will make a loud click. Something tells me it's related to my "creaking" sound.

You hear it at 0:17. Notice that simply changing from D to R made the clicking sound there.

Good luck!

Hi Alan, yes i could hear something, mine does like you are park real stiff on a hill, and the transmission taps real bad, it has happened like 20- 30% of downgrading on last ride, like if i had an abused transmission on a 100k miles car...you'r e a lucky young man.

voila...

I don't hear nothing real bad on your car, there is a lot of noise associated with the alu body and brakes resonances that we should not really be too much concerned. I think. You got cleans wheel all the time...I will not insist that much like you do all the time, you know in case, i am careful now as i am sick to ask things and get the car fixed, don't want go on a track if i need an alignment again cause I am really tired.

There was cylinblocks on the xj transmission and the shaft (arbre de transmission) to balance and i want to know how the transmission can be serviced, apart from changing the fluid. And how to find out your parts numbers.

you know guys what I will appreciate, if you can post what mileage do you have and if you had any repair done to the transmission axle, cylinblocs, like the 5 hours job I will get soon. My car is only 23000 km, already 2 repairs regarding bushes.

for 4.2 and 5 liters, but mostly 5 liters xk and xkr.
