tune2air won't get off "pause"
Hey guys, I have searched and tried to find a solution to this issue but can't find anything. Its killing me, I'm sure its something obvious...
I have a galaxy S5, I get the tune2air device hooked up and everything seems well; Bluetooth on, display shows its hooked up, solid blue light, but when the music plays on my phone, the dash display says "paused" and no matter what I do, it stays that way. The music is playing on my phone, but no audio is heard anywhere.
Anyone experience that? Or am I overlooking something obvious?
Oh, its in a 2010 XKR.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Rich, are you familiar with the tunetoair device? Many members use it to stream music over bluetooth with success. It plugs into the iPod 30-pin connector in our cars and all you should need to do is connect your phones bluetooth to it, and play music. It did seem like most people on here were using iphones, however, I tried one of those too and had the same problem as my Galaxy s5 where it remains on the "paused" setting no matter what I do. So frustrating because I know I am so close to getting it to play. Just not sure if its the device or something I am missing.
Any insight is appreciated.

Hi, Bryan...
Some of us here have used the WMA1000; my experience is in the thread below:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-130201/page2/
Main info from that thread that might be useful to you: I had better success with the iPhone 6 (vs 5), so the version of a given smartphone (and its OS) can make a big difference. If you can find a friend with the new iPhone and updated Pandora or Spotify, that might be worth a try... just to confirm function of the WMA1000, your cable, and the car's audio system.
Two questions come to mind: does your problem exist for all media sources on your phone, both streaming and file-based (mp3)? And is the cable in your car an original Jaguar cable?

Thanks, Rich! Yes I did try with my girlfriends iPhone, however, I don't know what media source she used - I'll confirm that one. And yes, the cable I am using is the original Jag USB to 30 pin adapter with the other wire that is like a headphone plug as well. I did read that some people resolved the issue by getting a new cable. Possibly I should try that as well.... thanks again, I'll check out that thread some more too

Little update, I tried streaming from every possible program on an Iphone to no avail - still stays on pause. Then I got a new USB to 30 pin adapter and found a new interesting issue, with the new plug, the car would not even recognize the device, it just kept saying to dock the USB. So this has me thinking its an issue with the plug port in the car possibly. Whatever it is, it sure is frustrating! Any insight will be much appreciated!

My 2012 has two ports: one is USB, the other for iPod. My Jag cable plugs into the iPod port.
I think your problem is stemming from the USB connection... pretty sure that my Jag will only accept files from the USB (i.e. large MP3 libraries). Your 2010 sounds like a different setup, unfortunately. I wonder what function the USB port is serving with that "hybrid" cable? Presumably you're meant to pull the audio through the headphone jack... maybe the USB portion is purely to provide power to the iPhone?
Sorry I couldn't help,
Rich

Simple answer, add a song into your itunes library. If you don't have at least one then none of the streaming will work properly.

The problem I have is not the 1-2 second play and than pause. This I solved in my Xf by downloading a song to iTunes. In the XKR problem is that I get the “pause” right away. So no sound whatsoever. And I have two Bovee dongles so I checked them both. Still no progress. Bovee is “docking” for 20 second or so and than remains paused

Seen an instance where a cable needed to be changed, not the same issue but best I got.
