Tyre Not Monitored
Hi, It's Friday here in the states and I'm on a road trip. I noticed a message on the center screen that says "Tyre not Monitored". There is an image of my car and the left front tire is red in color. Obviously the car is referring to the drivers front here in the states.
I looked at the tire and everything looks fine. Any thoughts? Is it that a monitoring device in the tire has gone bad?
I'm going to check for any responses tomorrow morning prior to leaving the hotel. Just thought of you folks immediately when I saw this error message.

PS: It's on my 2007 XK Convertible.

You are probably on the right track. Assuming the TPMS units have not been replaced, your car is at the limit of their battery life. You may know that the battery in them can't be replaced so you'll have to install new ones.
There are several threads here on the subject that should give plenty of info on them.

I get the tyre not monitored warning intermittently for the RF tyre. Sometimes it is on a daily basis for 15-20 minutes at a time. Now that I'm thinking about it don't think I have gotten the warning for the last ten days. Whenever I take it into the dealer (its still on warranty), I flag the issue and they replace the control module. Still get the warning though.
Dan look at post 10 in this thread. NTB should do this for free as it takes about 5 minutes.

It will confirm a dead sensor.

A dead sensor will definitely be a problem, but a low-or-intermittent sensor can cause problems also, therefore more frustration. I had a R-F problem, then Discount Tire put a new one on for me Gratis even though it still showed good. My problem went away.
