Default Upgraded Nav/radio system in 2008 Jaguar XK

I have a 2008 Jaguar XK

COMPANY NAME THAT DID THE WORK - Cartronics, Great Britain

I wanted to upgrade radio/ electronics. It turned out to be more than I could do. I found a great company in Great Britain who did a great job rebuilding and adding what was needed. Here, I hope, is a brief video of them bench testing it before returning to me.

Yup, GVIF box sitting under that smartphone,
which goes through the Nav interface.
Wonder if they read Sean W’s thread first?

This is really appears to be the kit Old Jaguar (Cambo) sells. @drboz5750 can you share the name of the company?

EDIT: Actually I just saw that second button which brought in the sound. I think that's some sort of AUX workaround instead of enabling Aux via SDD so prolly not Cambo's but it would be great if the OP gave more info, like who's making it, cost including shipping etc....

The round button is to switch the GVIF between video channels.

Nope, it never happened.

We did a programming job for him once, then we had some discussions about the CarPlay, I even naively sent him some customers, but nothing ever happened, he's on his own, nothing to do with me.

Which is why he's using some sort of bypass box to get the audio instead of AUX, won't have steering wheel control integration, won't have the Jaguar logo, etc...

Here’s mine that was supplied by Cambo…wireless Carplay with steering wheel controls, installed by an old man with no technical skills (me) thanks to Cambo’s instructions and long distance support…

I am also looking into this. Can't seem to get the DM or Cambo's site to pull up. Wanting to know if he is still selling this magic for the XKR community. Just purchased a 2007 XKR conv and would like an option for Android Auto use. I contacted three different audio shops in the area and haven't heard back from them, and now see why. Would also prefer a backup camera in case I have too many beers and the wife needs to drive. Is this option available?

Please add me as well. Prefer the OEM look to the Tesla screen, but in either caser would like to upgrade past the obsolete User Interface.

Cambo, are you still building these kits, and what would it cost?

Thanks!

He’s an active moderator here so I’m quite certain he will see everyone’s interest. Also Apple CarPlay is Apple iPhone only not android. There are android systems out there and many threads here with info on how to do that

This is Apple CarPlay not android. And there’s multiple threads regarding rear camera integration. If wanting OEM style using factory screen then a specialist with the appropriate equipment to modify the vehicle software and hardware would be required.
