It;s a legacy thing, I know I can buy M16 XKR for the same money but am sticking with the old one



Not that on the blue one the J had dropped off so I got a close matched SH to replace the J, was considering a union jack wrap...for all of 5 seconds

 

I put vanity tags on both my Jaguars. Rather smugly, I might add, keeping it simple, just counting the Jags.

 

 

My old 96XJS was GRRR8. I did not put vanity plates on the XKR.

The black frame is the solar powered wireless backup cam and the black wire is for the battery maintainer.

I don't have vanity plates, but the plates I was given when I transferred the Jag into my state might as well be. I chose the forum name "dangoesfast" specifically to join Jaguar forums to research my car and had never used it before, and my racing/sport number has been 83 since I started BMX at about 5 years old.

Imagine my surprise when the lady at the motor registry reaches into her stack of stock standard regular-priced plates and pulls out DGF83Z 🤯

 

Had to try several combinations to get one I liked that were not used.I ordered the California vintage Black with Gold lettering. This is the sample as ordered. But…6 to 8 months lead time. I guess we need more prisoners at Folsom State Prison where they are made.

 

I ordered a front custom vanity plate from a place in GB. I'm very happy with the results.
