Visit to the Dealer...
I stopped by the nearest Jag dealer yesterday to pick up some brake fluid for my upcoming 30K service. Had my wife and two European visitors with me. They are also the local Maserati dealer. Observations as follow;
The Maserati GT looks decidedly kit-car-ish compared to the XK/R. I just can not warm up to its nearly unfinished exterior looks. The Quatroporte looks very nice from the front but, altogether the XJ/L is superior in looks, size and pretty much all else.
Jag has a very nice line up and, as it seems, will only get better with 2013. They confirmed a V6 engine (besides the present V8) for the 2013 XJ and, of course, the F type. My wife was also very impressed with the XJL and is pretty much ready to get one. But, we still like the XK's look better and really do not need one more car around the house. Terrible dilemma... :-)
They had a convertible XKR on the showroom floor with the two-tone XKR-S seats in it. That is truly a good looking interior!
The $799 lease deal sounds really good on the XJ!
