Water pump nightmares - shouldn't JLR step up?

A search online indicates several people have made their own using spare caps, about $9 from the dealer and a rubber tyre valve stem drilled through the center. Use a tyre inflator set to 15 PSI.

if you look on Amazon you will see many very similar kits. In fact most look identical to the one I purchased. Pick one that’s Prime - easy return if it doesn’t work out, and I’ll send you my spare cap. Chances are it will be in there. Pick a kit that lists lots of European manufacturers. Or take road trip to Houston and we’ll track down the leak if there is one.
