Default Weak spots for 2009 XK's

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/i...con_redcam.gif I have been racing a 2009 XK for over a year. Mostly in AutoCross and some HPDE NASA Training courses. Last race I believe I busted a transmission Extension mount. The symptom was only revealed under severe cornering and typical for AutoX. There was a definite "Clunk" and a loss of the usual perfect suspension control. Everything returns to normal when not under such duress, but I was wondering if this was a common or unique experience. Racer responses appreciated. Also anyone experienced any other "Weak Points" in this model or XK's in general that I should be aware of? There is no local Jaguar racing experience I can find here in Louisiana.

oldcedar,

Does your 2009 XKR have the standard or optional Alcon Performance Brake Package? Or aftermarket? How have they performed?

I don't track my XKR, but the biggest weak spot is my knees whenever I look in my garage.

There are a couple rubber coolant hoses underneath the supercharger that are prone to get pinholes and leak severely. Not too many cases of this happening on the X150 (it has happened to me recently), but plenty of cases on the S-Type R, which of course has the same engine.
