Why do you want a dash cover? Is your dash damaged and you want to hide it? If so, a trim shop might be able to repair it by stretching, gluing, and stapling the edges. Otherwise, you'll need a cheap dash mat from CoverKing or CoverCraft, or an expensive new one from your dealer.

If your existing dash is OK and you want to keep it from shrinking and bubbling up from the heat of the summer sun, then you need a reflective sunshade that fits inside the windshield. I use the OEM Jaguar accessory that is a custom fit for the X150,

My sunshade (no, I don't use it when garaged, just for this photo)

Thank you Stuart. I have the fairly common 2007 150 leather dashboard shrinking problem. I met with an upholsterer yesterday and he believes that he can fix it by stretching, gluing and stapling. I have the Jaguar windshield sunshade but the upholsterer suggested a dash cover for summer use while driving when the sun is out. Just checking my options.

After more than 10 years, the dashboard in my 2009 XKR is still like new because (1) I always use my OEM sunshade and put the top up whenever I'm parked outside, and (2) I apply a thin viscosity leather conditioner to all the leather surfaces every couple of months. Any brand will work, but I prefer the cleaner-conditioner from Griot's Garage.

This thread will tell you everything you need to know about automotive leather:

I also have an XK and live in Arizona, so use a dash cover from April through October, in addition to a sun screen and leather conditioner. No problems so far.

But, I have an extra dash cover that is available. It turned out to be the wrong color for my car. It's kind of a medium blue. If you're interested, you can have it for $10 plus shipping.

Bill, how much did the upholsterer say it would cost to repair your dash?

Hello Reverend Sam, He thought it would take 45minutes to an hour to repair - $150. Of course, I have to have the windshield taken out for him to do his best work. Still working on making that happen.
