So I've wasted a lot of time checking out the competition to the XKR but from the time I first saw it I knew I was going to be driving it home one day. The one single thing I just can't decide on is the colour.

I would rather get one quickly then wait for one to be made so that sort of rules out some of the more unusual colours. (including botanical green which I quite liked) Living in the US means it is taking 3-4 months to get a special order built.

Black shows up the dirt, red is "owned" by Ferrari, Dark Green I can't get. White reminds me of ford transit vans. aggghhhh!!

What colour combination wins for you? Any help much appreciated!

How about either emerald fire or indigo blue? I'm guessing the indigo blue might be easier to find.

thanks for the suggestions. I actually found and bought an emerald fire 2010 XKR Convertible today - very excited. Worked with Tysons Jaguar.

I have not stopped smiling for the last 5 hours!

Congratulations on your purchase. You do know of course, you need to post some pics. Did you buy your car at Tysons Jaguar or Rosenthal Jaguar at Tysons Corner VA? If at Rosenthal Jaguar, I would recommend going to the NCA Jaguar Concours at the Reston Town Center. If not, then nevermind.

I did get it from Rosenthal in Tysons Corner. Funnily enough when I got to Rosenthal on Saturday afternoon the car was actually at the Hyatt in Reston for the Concours. They picked it up and brought it back to the dealership for me. I did think about heading over on Sunday but was too busy showing it off to friends and family!
