Default Whats your yearly XK cost of ownership?

After crunching some year-end numbers as I do with all my tax deductible possessions, i thought it would interesting to see what others spend on their XK per year.

Aside from tire balancing and alignments, I do all the work myself.

Here are my 2020 numbers:

miles driven: 14,700
maint + repair + upgrades: $1,760
insurance (1car, comprehensive): $1,560
gas (est. @ 15mpg, 3.1 $/gal): $3,040
joy of ownership: priceless

Bottom line... The biggest cost of XK ownership will always be depreciation.

We can always HOPE that these things do become desired classics in a decade or so. When you want a different fun car, stash the XK in a garage somewhere and forget about it for 10 years. Might be worth a ton later.

Whatever it costs, it's still cheaper and more therapeutic than a psychiatrist!

I got my car in January, so I've had it a little less than a year.

Miles drive: 3400
Maintenance + repair: $1700
Insurance: $1100
Gas (21 mpg at $2.60 a gallon): $421 (Costco for the win)

Typing this all out, I'm surprised the cost of ownership is this low for a car that's this fun. The maintenance and repair cost should go down starting next year since a big chunk of that was doing the diff fluid and trans fluid change.
