Default Wheel Alignment Advice

I'm annoyed that, since purchase last year, the steering wheel is cocked at near 11 o'clock while driving. It tracks normally, doesn't hunt, and I see no unusual tire wear. Additionally, the steering does not pull while cruising.

So I'm planning on having the front end aligned to fix the clocked steering wheel position. Because it tracks properly and there is no apperant tire wear, wouldn't a front end alignment be in order vs having the rear checked too?

Just thinking it might save a couple bucks because it is just an annoyance.

The last time I had my Porsche aligned they messed up the toe on the right rear, so the steering wheel was off center, but the fronts were proper.

You need to check all four.

Also check for anything bent in the suspension.

When the alignment is done - is started on rear of vehicle, then front. So you'll need to have all 4 wheels done.

Sounds like whomever did the alignment last, didn't have the steering wheel straight when setting the Toe.

How many miles and what kind of roads have you traveled since the last alignment. Sounds like all you need is a toe adjustment to get the steering wheel straight.

Thanks guys, I guess it will be all four then. I've clocked less than 5K on it, all on fairly good roads. I can't speak for the PO though.

Off the shop tomorrow where l'll see what they have to offer.

Ok, got my baby back from alignment and yes, it was toe in that was out on the front. All is right with the world again! Tracks even better now and no clocked position steering wheel!
