Default When is the XK / XKR Body Style Changing ?

New to the forum and looking to buy my first Jaguar. I am set on an XKR but I am a little fearfull to buy new or pre-owned if they are going to change the body style in the next 24 months. I know the body style changed in 2007 with upgrades along the way but even on a long cycle 5 to 7 years seems about the range when a major change comes. The only hope for a longer cycle is the fact the new XKR-S is on this platform. Is there any buzz about a change soon? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks in advance !!!!

My dealer said it would be out in three years time and would be three inches longer... Diesn't sound like it will make a whole lot of difference, but the Maserati seems to do it.

The 2012 XKR-S is rumored to be the last hurrah of the current body style, but why wait for the next body style? It will be at least a year (and probably more) from now, and what will you do in the meantime?

If you don't feel comfortable laying out the big bucks for a brand new XKR with a new model on the horizon, buy a CPO one. How can you not enjoy a CPO XKR convertible in Southern California? Just make sure to do your homework and get one with the options and colors you want.

Procrastination is punishment for being indecisive - it's like the girl who got away. Although drop-dead gorgeous, you're not getting married to a CPO XKR - you can always trade it in for a new model. And it will cost you less than alimony!
