Good afternoon all, am looking to replace all four corners on my 2015 XKR, Shocks and struts, however i cannot find a online retailer (parts geek, e-euro, tire rack, ect) with a listing for the car. i don't want to have to go the the dealership, but is that my only option?? any help would really be appreciated.
I would try Rock Auto. Sometimes they get OEM Bilsteins on occasion. It took me several months to get all four but I did so at a very reasonable price. And yes, they are CATS OEM equipment.
I had responded to this thread yesterday, but post has disappeared. (Maybe I didn't send it when I finished). So, briefly, I just put new front shocks on my 2010 XKR last week after searching for them for nearly 4 months. No dealerships actually had them in stock. And there are no aftermarket ones available with the electronic dampening features. Making it even more challenging is that 2010-2011 model years have a different part number than 2012-2015 and are nearly impossible to locate. And pricing now is at over $900 per shock. 115,000 miles ago when I changed the shocks the first time I was able to find a vendor on Ebay that had genuine OEM shocks for about $400 for all four shocks, front and rear. Now that my car has about 225,000 miles there was little damping left and a lot of noise coming from the suspension, so it was time. I got them order through a Range Rover dealership in Los Angeles who promised them within 2 days of ordering and sure enough they came through as promised. I had called Bilstein as I used to see them offered on their website, but they told me they are made only for JLR on special order and are no longer available from them.
The dealership I ordered from has a Jaguar Parts website at JaguarLosAngeles.com if anyone is interested
@tberg Curious as to how they obtained them so quickly? Some main dealers have central parts warehouses with massive inventories though most prefer to not sit on inventory and let JLR shoulder the expense. Did you pay over $3600 for them (you mentioned over $900 per assembly).

Not the point of this thread, but just wanted to comment that you are the 2nd person I have heard say that about posting yesterday, including me, that is 3. I know I posted but then when I came back (different thread) today, my response was just not there. Really weird.
When I did my daily searches online for the shocks their name came up and I went to their website, got their phone number and called them. I only needed the front shocks. When I punched in the part number for the 2010-2011 front shocks, I was surprised to see them at $722.00 as every dealer was about $920.00. My mechanic, trying to order them from our local Jag dealer even with his discount as a repair shop could not order them below $900.00. When I spoke to the parts department and asked if I could just go ahead and order them on the phone I was told that he couldn't sell them to me at the price online and that they would be $922.00. He suggested I order them online to take advantage of the price. I ordered them on a Wednesday for pickup at their facility on La Brea Ave in Los Angeles and that they would be there on Friday two days later. Since I am not too far from there. I picked them up, and that's when I discovered it was a very large Range Rover dealership. They were so accommodating when I showed up. They offered refreshments and walked me to the parts department and it was such a nice transaction. When I went back online to check the price again after I had already picked them up, the price had risen to the $922.00 level. So I ended up saving about $400.00. I would have assumed that the shock part number would have been interchangeable from 2010-2015 as there weren't a lot of differences outside of cosmetic ones post facelift in 2012. But I didn't want to get the 2012-2015 ones have them installed and find that I was getting fault codes. And when you order the shocks at any of the dealerships they ask you for your VIN to confirm you are ordering the correct ones. And the ones I ordered consistently came back as being confirmed fit. Where the later model numbers had negative responses.

@tberg Thanks for posting this. I was wondering about my shocks (I am at 115K now I think and do not know if/when mine were replaced.) I was curious about the electronic damping/changes to ride and if I was going to have to send them out to a specialist for overhaul. For 922 dollars, I would think someone could rebuild mine for half that, right?
I had no luck finding anyone who would or could rebuild including Bilstein who used to offer that service. When we removed my shocks they were absolutely "frozen," as they wouldn't expand or contract. My car was on a rack at my mechanic for about 4 months, disassembled and waiting for the shocks, so I bit the bullet. I know there are shock rebuilding services but I could not find one that would do it. If you find such a service I'd be interested in that information.
