Windows rolled down by themselves
thanks, Cee Jay. I suspect that there is a compatibility issue with the 2012 Jaguar Homelink. I will try to contact Homelink to confirm this before purchasing the bridge as I have read where some other owners of XKs have been successful without the Homelink bridge.
One of those WAS me, it worked for almost two years then just stopped. I tried again many, many times but no joy. I stuck a visor remote in my car instead.
It is peculiar how that happens for some, and not others.
My 3 garage door motors are 2012 vintage. I have programmed all three buttons to correspond to the three doors, in all my vehicles. And it works like a charm.
What I did not mention above is that I purposely unplug the motors while I have the car learn the 3-button remote codes.
Then I plug in the motors and pair the car to the motors.

I spoke with a tech at Homelink today and she gave me another protocol. after erasing the memory by pressing the two outer buttons, I was to push and release the Homelink button once in my car, and then hold the remote near the roof consol and press the remote button until the Homelink button lit up steady. No joy.
What year Jag XK worked for you? and what model Liftmaster and remote control do you have?
