I used to have the heated/wooden steering wheel on my 07 XK, and miss it somewhat on my 07 XKR. Just called Jaguar, and they said there is no such option for my car. I could have sworn I read there is for the 07s, just not the newer ones. Can any of you shine some light on this?

And if there truly is no OEM option, any experiences with non-oem?

It might not be an option, but at a guess it is likely to fit.

Best source would be a junkyard or ebay.

If the parts book says the steering columns are the same number it's pretty much a given unless the switches on the wheel are different in function.

 

It is shown as an option in the brochures for an '07 XKR but you might not be able to easily retrofit the heated function.

 

Thanks to both of you! Strange that you see it as an option for the 07 XKR, but Jaguar said it wasn't. Maybe I had the wrong guy on the phone. I could live without the heat option.

 

I, too, was surprised that it didn't come on the XKR. I actually didn't realize I didn't have that option until I drove it off the dealer lot. Then I sort of died a little bit inside.

But that's ok! It has things that I didn't expect, like adaptive headlamps!

 

My IPB (I gave you a copy, right?) Shows the XKR with it(pg 62)...

Interesting to hear you miss it... Guess I would too....
