Default Wow or holy crap.

Just got bit harder today. I looked at a 2011 XKR down at a dealer in Long Island NY. Although I am still looking for a 2012 I wanted to get to see/drive one . So this was only 2 hours away so I took a ride to see it. This is a great buy for someone as it is in excellent shape with only 9300 miles on it. It all started from the start of the engine and the sound of the exhaust. Very impressive and then a drive on the local streets and out on the expressway. Well as you guys are aware it is a quiet cat in the city streets but when I hit it on the expressway coming off the ramp it went to 80 before I could back peddle the throttle. Getting one of these is going to be pure fun and a lot of trouble. By the way it was the Ebony paint color.

It will become the love of your life...when u hook the battery tender up to it you will feel the satisfaction u get from feeding your pet. It feels alive, like a part of your life you cant live without... Its the craziest thing I have ever felt or will ever feel.. I actually love it!!!!! And God help me I would do anything I could to fix it if it ever needed it... So God Help me!!!

In my opinion it's a bargain at $63,000. What i'm struggling with is the difference between a 2011 at this price vs. 2012's which are running at $80,000 for the same car with a little extra gingerbread (LED's , backup camera ) thrown in. Now if there was a way to integrate a backup camera I would buy this and save $20K , LOL

Was the car at Great Neck Jaguar? If so, it's been there for some time, and bet they would entertain an offer.......$59,999

Why......$59,999?

Check this baby out....even lower mileage. Great color....Liquid Silver.......photos in the ad does not do this car justice at all for the correct color.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XKR-B...US_Cars_Trucks

Would bet you could buy this Texas Jag XKR for $58,500....6400 miles. This is the bargain.

With a convertible, I find that I don't need a back up camera with top down.

With top up, I simply added the 2 1/2" round mirrors on my driver and passenger side mirrors. A simple $8.00 may save you $20M.

Consider all options.

Backup camera is cute, but not $20k worth of cute! Buy the 2011, spend some of the difference on custom stuff (exhaust, bodykit, wheels, whatever) or buy a cheap track car.

Now that I am past the color issue the fall back is anyone of the BLACKS. That being the case I have 3 cars that I am in discussions with . All are black and have mileage between 5000 and 15000 . All 2012 convertibles and they are all around $80,000 which is my upper limit. Needless to say if they sit for 3-4 months I should be able to work the price. Time will tell.

I feel the same way and never felt that way about any other car.. This car just has a personality I can't describe.

It looks awesome, looks very agressive and with the $13,000 Black Pack, and IF it all meets your requirements and I would bet that $77,000 cash price would close the deal.

On June 26th 2012, the car was listed for sale as a one owner for $99,993.00

http://usa.motoseller.com/c/sys.php?a=2&b=3029682

This car was for sale at the Lamborghini dealership in Miami, Fl.....back at 7400 miles at $79,993, so there would be no reason for the mark up to over $81,000 with an additonal 6,000 miles on the car.

Shipping up the East coast to NY would not be a major deal, as auto transports make these runs on a regular basis. Most likely shipping via auto transport would probably be under or close to $1000.

I would think there are very few of these types/styles of Jaguar 2012 XKR's around, and you would have a very rare styled Jaguar XKR.

This car is a head turner for sure.

Some investigation would be required as Carfax shows 3 previous owners which is quite a bit, so there may be more to the story......length of ownership for first 2 owners was quite short.

I for one, really like the looks of this XKR...in simple words.....It is Awesome...nice find Jagtoes, especially if this XKR can pass a rigid inspection due to the numerous owners. That's the caveat. Lot's of questions to be answered on this 2012 XKR. Due diligence is extremely important.

It is under full warranty however.

The car cost 97,500 I believe...with the black pack it barely goes over 100,000 even...the 13,000 black pack??? I dont think so..... Blow that sunshine up somebody else's backside!!! Does that car have the standard active exhaust or the performance I wonder? Mine looks mean as the devil but is quiet as a mouse...after spending 100k the guy didnt add the performance exhaust which would have only cost another 1600 .

I questioned him on the 3 owners and he gave me this : The car was purchased new in Massachusetts, driven to Miami and traded into the Jaguar dealership at 2500 miles. Subsequently traded back to the same Jaguar dealership at 7500 miles. (They must love this car - it's an annuity!). It was then purchased by my clients last August who drove it to 12800 miles and traded it to me on the purchase of a Maserati Gran Tourismo Convertible."

I just got a note from him today and he told me he was putting on new tires and brake pads. I sent him a note asking why considering this was a low mileage car. Waiting for an answer but this leaves me with a question. I'll see what he says but I am not in a rush.

I have been told the tires DO NOT last very long at all on these cars, the rears having 510hp you are NOT to expect more than 20,000 miles they said. Anyone else got any comments on what I was told??

10,000 mi for rear tires (summer/max performance) on a front engine, rear drive 500 + hp car that weighs 4000 k lbs is a good goal. That's assuming you never go to track or drag strip- then it will be less
