Default XK Child booster cushion

Hey folks!
I am just about to take delivery of an '07 XK...will post pics and details in the intro section when it arrives.

Anyways - I will be taking my 4yr old son with me to collect it - and I wondered if anyone had any experience of child booser cushions in the back? I have found a similar thread about this - but it wasn't answered.

Do I need a specific XK booster cushion, or will any child booster cushion do?

M

Frankly I would not put any human being (even a 4 year old) into the back seat of an XK. Put the boster seat into the front passenger seat. The air bag should automatically disengage...

I'll second Stillwaters. While I have put 2 of my 3 boys back there, I know of NO boosters that would fit the funky seat shapes back there. I just put my 7 year old back there sans booster because the seat fits him like a glove anyway. If you're concerned about the booster, definitely use it in the front seat. They're multistage airbags that will disable for lightweight anyway.

Ok cheers. When he is in the front, he'll be in his "proper" car seat. I was just looking for something for when my wife is with us boys....and even though my wife is only 5'2" I doubt she'd be happy in the back....

Lol -- Mine's 5'2" and isn't happy in the back. But my 7 and 9 year old fit well enough for short trips. Problem is I have 3 boys so... we just strap one to the rear deck and call it good!

FWIW - I got a standard booster cushion - and he loves it in the back.

This only works though because my wife is 5'2"....

When you say you got a standard booster cushion, which one? The Jaguar one or another? Does it have a back to the cushion or is it just a cushion? Reason I'm asking is my youngest will be 4 in March. My 7 and 10 year old are fine in the back but at some point my 10 year old will move to the front...

Thx!

I got one of these from Argos:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...O+PRODUCTS.htm

Manic-minor says that it is very comfortable and he sits "Mr Wuff" (one of his stuffies...) in one of the cup holders.

I thought the back seats were booster seats.

I regularly carry my four year old twins and (very tall) three year old in my XKR using a proper child seat in the front and the jaguar accessories booster seats in the back. I am 6 ft. Admittedly my driving position is sub-optimal..., but it's fine. The seats were about £30 each from the dealer.

However, the labels on them are Mothercare, where I suspect they'll be a lot cheaper...
