Add me to the list of purchasers and let me know when funds are due.

I will go for the top of the line setup ...remote PLUS rear window control/module-ALL IN ONE.

I'm in, too, including the rear window module.

Do those of us who signed up on this forum also need to sign up on your website?

I installed a similar module on my Infiniti G37 called smart top. It worked great. The feature I liked the most was the ability to open and close the top while driving below 40km/hr. If I had a convertible I would definitely get one. I'll probably get a smart top for my new Mercedes roadster in the spring.

Thanks Stuart.

No, if you post here or PM me there is no need to also go to my website (provided you have PMs enabled through the forum so I can contact you).

Yes, SmartTop makes a similar product for a number of vehicles, but not for Jaguar.

Another great product in the offing Steve

I'm sure the XK owners will be lining up as they did with the XK8 version for this great piece of kit.

For any of those wondering.......

Steve has had many many compliments on his kits, very thorough and complete with extremely detailed instructions.

Good luck Steve

Yes, pretty soon. It is the next product I will investigate. I do need to complete testing with the remote top Beta customers and get through the initial production demand on the remote top first.

The 4.2L XK/XKR needs a dynamic mode! That would be on my wish list...

Yes, it works on a 2007. I have several options to ship overseas, we can discuss once the units are available.

Also, if you have it done by a shop, if they need any support, I am happy to provide it directly to them.

Smile Right-Hand Drive (UK) Beta Testers needed for remote top kit

I am in need of two Beta tester volunteers: one with a '06-'09 model XK convertible and one with a '10-'14 model convertible Right Hand Drive vehicle.

Although the final product will not take special skills to install, I would prefer a Beta tester with a slightly technical orientation.

I will offer you a HUGE discount on the kit and free upgrades in exchange for a little of your time.

Please send me a Private mail or contact me on my website contact page Contact Us - TheJagWrangler if interested.

Thanks!
-Steve

Steve the video is great and I want one.
The only concern I have is removing the roll bar. Can you explain that?

-Plug in two new connectors if adding rear window option.
-The module mounts on top of the fusebox behind the rear seats with industrial-grade Velcro.
-Test and reassemble

I include very detailed instructions so there is no guesswork. All hardware is included. I also provide support as needed to insure success. You will need a small metric ratchet and Torx wrench set.

No special skills are required. A good guideline is if you are comfortable assembling a piece of Ikea furniture and replacing a broken wall light switch in your house you are up to do this job yourself. If not, a shop will probably charge about 2 hours labor.
Yes, can you provide more details of the removal process of the roll bar.

Once removed and the unit is installed......is the roll bar re-installed also?

This might be a critical problem for me. Please clarify, makes me just a bit nervous. Perhaps I am not understanding the process.

Thanks.

The rollbar module is removed with the battery disconnected by removing four torx bolts and unplugging one connector. It is removed simply to get access to some wires. Once the conections to those wires are made, the rollbar is re-installed. Since it is a safety device, it is advised to use a torque wrench to re-sinstall it to the specified torque.

The rollbar should be handled with care, as one would with an airbag. As long as it is not abused or tampered with, it is not a risky procedure at all.

I have attached the rollbar removal and installation excerpt from the preliminary installation manual.
