My intent is to ship a product that is easy to install and trouble-free. That is why I am taking some time with my fantastic Beta tester volunteers now to make sure the product is 100% ready before starting production shipments.

We have discovered some variations between model years and this is taking a bit of extra time to address.

Steve, I've already prompted my mechanic brother-in-law that he'll be called on for installation. He agreed to provide you with a critique on instructions. The guy is he best mechanic I've ever dealt with. Too bad, he has little knowledge of British cars. Before he opened his own shop, he was Master Mechanic with a large Lexus dealership. As soon as they became unionized, he was gone. He's very keen on your project, however, as he loves innovative ideas.

 

I look forward to his input. If you look at the instructions on my website for my other products, you will see that most have gone through several revisions. I regularly take customer input to improve them.

 

Steve, any updates/anticipated release dates?

 

Yes, the Beta testers have done their job and uncovered some teething problems. All of them are being addressed with a revision to the software in the unit. I am close to being done with the updates, then we need to do a bit more testing.

I have the first dozen units built, and another dozen in process. The units are waiting to be shipped as soon as the second round of testing is done.

With a little luck I still think the first units may ship by the end of the month. Left hand drive (LHD) units will ship first, because I decided to wait until they are 100% until we do the Beta testing on the RHD units.

Sorry for the delay, but I want everyone to have a great experience with this product and it is worth a little extra time to make sure of that.

 

Good decision. The British are a finicky group.

If I am on the first group I don't mind waiting. It is going to be 2 months before we dig out of this snow and I don't have a heated garage. So if our friends in the south want theirs first I am good with it.
