Default XK wheel lock set

What is the recommended wheel lock set for a 2010 XK? McGard? I have 19" factory rims.

I just purchased a McGard set on Ebay a few weeks ago. Very good quality and fit perfectly.

I purchased a set of OEM Jaguar wheel locks that came in standard Jaguar branded/labeled packaging. When I opened it the locks are stamped McGard. You can probably save a few bucks and just buy McGard.

I bought a set of these for my '07 XKR. They claim to be OEM (but don't match the accessory guide pictures) and have a little cap to cover the lock end so match the other wheel nuts:

Yes. Here they are. I incorrectly stated earlier that I purchased these on Ebay. I actually purchased them from Amazon.com for $19.95.

Is the unlocking key to these wheel locks universal or made to go with each lock in the set? I don't have any experience using these.

Thanks for any response.

Each lock key is specific to the corresponding nuts. I've had these on my cars ever since 1988, when I came out from a movie with my wife and found my Pontiac GTO sitting on wooden crates with my very expensive wheels gone. The insurance covered the theft and the damage to the car, but as hard as I tried, I could never replace those exact wheels. The *******s didn't use the kick plates to lift the car and did damage to the rockers and undercarriage. Pissed me off to no end.

I just ordered them from Amazon.com for $25. I took one lug off and the picture makes the locks look longer than what I have, but the measurements of 1.5 inched deep and 3/4 inch across seems correct. Does each lock sit evenly with all the other lug nuts? I just don't want to have it sticking out. I love my symmetry!

Is the McGard #24137 standard for our Jaguar XK/XKR wheel studs?

I'll let you know that answer at least for the XK in a few days.

LOL. Yes, both the regular lug nut and the wheel lock have 1.5 inch spines. Your symmetry lives on.

do not get the valve stem covers with locking option. No good after a while lock will mess up and you then have problem. The same goes for the wheel locks, after awhile they are no good and had a friend who had to weld the lock key to the nut to get the dam thing off. Also with wheel locks you can have a balance issue. I would not suggest any of them. As to the valve covers I got the growler caps and they where plastic but you cannot tell and they are weather reliable. Bought two sets also just in case one gets lost.

Thanks for the info. I have used the McGard wheel locks on every car I have ever owned without any problems whatsoever. I would not want to take a chance however unlikely to find my car up on blocks sans rims and tires. Hopefully, a professional thief does not want Jaguar rims. Maybe if anyone knew how hard they are to keep clean they will stay away from them!!!!!

Re:the wheel locks. You should never over tighten or use a power tool to tighten. Thats how the locking pattern can be damaged, resulting in removal problems with ongoing abuse. As for balancing issues. If you obtain the correct lock nut, specified for your make and model car, this is not even a remote likelihood.

I recall reading something about metal valve stem caps causing issues with the TPMS. Cracking of the stem or something. It is recommended to use plastic caps. Sorry I can't remember if that was a post on the forum or somewhere else. Could be wrong but I use plastic caps and they are fine. The purpose of the cap is merely to keep dirt out if the stem so a good plastic cap should be fine.
