I custom ordered mine, so I did not get anything off of MSRP. I do not know if you would get much off of one on the lot either. They don't make that many of them. What is an "X Plan"? Maintenance is only included for the first year. The Luxury Package - either Wood or Aluminum Weave - has a heated steering wheel, softer leather, and 16 way adjustable seats.

I have had mine for just over two months, and love it. Only problem is that with winter here in the northeast, I don't get it out of the garage too much. I get a lot of looks and compliments.

I ordered my coupe in June, and picked it up October 25 - nearly 5 months later. When I went through the process, the salesguy said that they only alloted 600 total 07 XKRs for North America, and that the 08 allotment wouldn't be much higher. Of that there is also the split with Coupe and Convertable (which was around a 40/60 split). I looked at other dealers in my area, but there weren't many in inventory to chose from.

I would think2-3 months would be about right. I don't know about the X-plan working (in effect) Jag has been sold to Tata and is no longer a Big Blue product.

I was just at the dealer looking at one. There are a few incentives on the 07 and in March (next month) they might get additional or difference incentives from Jaguar on the '07 to move left over inventory.

On the 07 the total discount was about 10K from invoice. (85,950 for a '07 XKR Convertible with Luxury and Premium Sound package)

I too went with the X plan pin number/letter... only to find out that it is something like 2% off the MSRP (can't remember exactly), but the incentives they had from Jaguar were more thatwhat the X plan offered...

From where?? I would love to do a deal with that dealer... I am waiting until the first few weeks of March to see what the new incentives are before I make my purchase.

A few photos...

I got a XK convertible on loan to test drive for the day... my children loved it.

And here are the two cars I am looking at... Silver coupe or Black convertible... my other option is a Corvette Z06... I know I know... world aparts... there is a selfish side that wants the vette and the more responsible side that is saying "in the Jag you can take the children with you..." anyway... I will make my mind up by mid March

Z06 is a sweet ride. My second vehicle I've ever owned was a brand new C5 Vette Coupe and modded it with Stage II Heads/Cam and full bolt on mods. I enjoyed it during my college days. The C6 Z06 is a beast...maybe not as luxurious as the XKR but a great bang for the buck in performance. Also has the optional HUD which is nice.Good Luck! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

If the children get any bigger, they're going to have to fit sideways in that 'back seat' lol. My 12 yr old neice barely fits.

I love them both...but a coupe and a convertible are very different. Do you like fresh air?...problem solved.

The Silver Coupe looks like a last of the '07s. I'm sure you can get a good deal on those.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Same deal on either one... the larger wheels on the coupe make them even in price... outside of that they have the same equipment/options...Currently looking at 88K out the door for either one...I can't decide... the both look sooooooo good... and I can't just buy one of each, lol...

I did decide on the Jag over the Corvette... I just can't see myself not taking the children along anytime I want.

I forgot to ask if the coupe has more spacein the rear seats than the cabrio... must check when I go back. I am just waiting until they get the news in March on any changes to the incentives...
