Good morning!

Got a code for a bad Camshaft position sensor bank 1 sensor B.

Watched a video with a 2011 XF with the 5.0 non supercharged and they stated that bank 1 sensor B was on the passenger side closer to the center of the engine.

That is the sensor I changed. The check engine light has still remained but the car is no longer surging as it was before. Was this the correct sensor or did I replace the wrong sensor?

You have two sensors on each side. See page 1680 in the 5.0 manual, page 1712 more or less for the codes and locations.

All have the same PN, so you can swap them position for position to see if that changes your symptoms.

 

FIrstly thanks for your response. I checked those pages it's not really telling me which sensor is which or what side each bank is on.
