Chances are (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here) that you spoke to the workshop or service manager. If so then there's a good chance that he or she hasn't actually worked on a car for a few years, they may not be familiar with these models. Of course, you could just have ended up talking to some halfwit, I'm just playing devil's advocate

I know there are loads of threads on this, but I just want know...

1. Can I just delete the mufflers and add the x-pipe? When I went to Quicksilver they said I would 100% get a drone noise in the cabin.

2. What if I just delete one of the two cental mufflers?

3. I want to keep the back box due to the Dynamic active exhaust....

Would appreciate your help....

Thanks.
I did the exact thing.... Added new center x pipe straight through to stock exhaust no mid muffler and 200 cel cats..... It is very loud but good loud......zero drone .... I mean zero.
From inside the car it very pleasant and quite..... Under full throttle it wails
Like tom jones eating a nascar -to quote top gear.
I too like the exhaust flaps.... Only draw back is stock rear muffler is heavy.

Just put the Jaguar supplied x pipe on mine. Ordered from main dealer. Very loud with Dynamic mode pressed now. Back to normal with it off. I have had fuse 19 out, but now put it back in, as you do need it off and on when required. It does slightly drone in low gears if you don't kick it down. If you run in say 4th very slow them slowly increase speed. It does seem slightly different on changing a gear down too. Not as sensitive A very small amount of more throttle needed. Would not go back though. The car seems slightly quicker too.

Yes, I do like to have the ability to be a bit stealthy when required. The Performance Active Exhaust is pretty raucous with the valves open.
