Default XKR Crash

Saw this few months ago, just getting around to posting.
I guess the XKR is fairly ubiquitous if its appearing in 3rd world crash videos.

Some parts of Charlotte people drive like that.

I find roads that despite being a long way give me more peace of mind.

Passing on the opposite side of the road of what you're supposed to is something I avoid as much as reasonably possible.

Third World because look at how so many of the cars are parked, namely the the van that the car hits.
Also he doesnt know how to hit the brakes.
The majority have only just been able to own cars.

My vote is Russia because the van has the name of a Russian website on the back of it!

Definitely Russia, because of the plate format (see below). Can't quite read the digits on the right, which would indicate the city.

Look at how the cars are parked.
Some on the road, some off the road, some perpendicular, some parallel, and the van that was hit parked diagonal!- when he did not have to!
This is a lawless shole where folks have given up on civility.

The communist era Lada gave it away.

The van was driving not parked, re-watch.

It is centered in its lane, then swerves to the right, possibly as a reaction of the Jaguar coming up from behind and trying to give it room.

The Jaguar was braking up until it turned left, then brakes were not re-applied after it hit the van.

It looks like the van had its right hand indicator on so was probably about to pull over on to the kerb like the other bad parkers.

Here in Charlotte there are lanes with dedicated marked parking spaces, when full of parked cars those lanes are pretty much only useful to a motorcycle.

Look ahead, plan ahead.

I can't see blaming the van.

The van is trying to park.

How do you place any blame on anyone other than the two idiots who were street racing. Both made (or attempted to make) unsafe lane changes across a solid white line much too close to an intersection. And both were at fault for this collision. (Which was not an "accident".) Technically if this happened in North America, the vehicle on the right would have had the "right-of-way", but the vehicle on the left squirted in ahead of it leaving the driver on the right three options. 1.) Continue his lane change and hit the other street racing idiot; 2.) Brake hard and perhaps stop before hitting the van; 3.) Brake and release and steer in behind the other idiot.

Not sure about the part of North America you are in, but where I'm at the left lane driver would have the right of way on a 3 lane or more roadway.

Btw, there is a sign that indicates that lane becomes parking.

So he made that pass in a lane for parked cars.

It is the opposite actually. There is a sign saying no parking and that you will be towed if you do. The parking sign shows that you should park on the kerb which is why the cars have done it.

Ah, so where people are pulling onto a curb you should be able to expect cars stopping in that lane to do so.

A case of more velocity than control.

Unfortunately I sort of expect that both parties came out little wiser.

Just a caper, repeat again. Maybe die that time.

What ridiculous driving in a built up area. They don't deserve an xkr.

I'm constantly amazed by those who don't realize they do not own the road and they need to stick to the rules: only pass in the passing lane, slower traffic stick to the slow lane, and use turn signals, then check the blind spot, then make the maneuver...
Shall I go on.

Sadly, as many are unable to fess up when they mess up I can only assume in some alternate universe blame was somehow passed on to some other scapegoat.
