Default XKR heated rear window

Hi all. I recently became the proud owner of a 2008 XKR (I introduced myself earlier this week) and am keen to sort out a few minor niggles, the first of which is an inoperative heated rear window,

I was hoping it might just be the fuse, but this seems fine so my next thought is a failed relay. Does anyone know where this is located as I'd like to change it before I go see the garage.

Many thanks in advance.

Rich

Replaced the relay and can hear it clicking on/off but the heater elements still aren't working, so I guess it's time to buy a multi-meter and check whether there's power at the connectors.

Is it a coup or vert? Also do your heated mirrors work? Should be controlled by the same relay. If your heated mirrors work it's possible the tab attaching the wires to the rear window have become detached.

Hi, thanks for the response. I'll check the wing mirrors in the morning as it looks set to be a frosty night tonight. I'll also check for a detached tab as I recall this happened on a previous vehicle and was an easy fix.

Yes the mirrors run off the same relay and off different fuses so if your mirror heat is working, then it's a connector, fuse, or a break in the element itself/loss of ground. The fuse for the rear window is F23, blue yellow wire.

Confirmed that mirror heat, fuse F23 and relay are all good, so planning to go hunting with a multimeter at the weekend.
