XKR-Rear toe adjustment bar replacement (Guidance needed)
I'm working on replacing a bent and worn rear toe bar on the 2008 XKR.
The work shop manual shows a nut, I have a bolt facing upward on my unit.
As I back the bolt out (Downward) it is pushing the upper segment away and deforming it. I'm not sure what I'm missing. The bolt isn't backing out, just unthreading itself from the top threaded segment. See photo.
Anyone run into this issue? I don't want to back out further as I'm afraid it may crack due to deformation or strip the threads.
The upper most part it is threaded into is the bracket which holds the e-brake mount for Alcon brake package.
