Hey Stiggy, I had a E92 335i myself, and that was a pretty darn good car that I kind of regret passing on. Congrats on the -S, it sounds like you are feeling better about the purchase, and since you didn't write anything about it, I assume that the dealer check-up went OK?

Hey! Yeah I still regret not keeping my E92. If I had the extra garage space, I probably would have kept it.
The XKR-S is in pretty good health considering the age and mileage. Timing chain is in good shape as are the tensioners. Only little problems left are mainly cosmetic which most will be fixed in a few weeks when the paint correction, ceramic coating and PPF are applied.

Now I just need to name her. I normally don't go this long without naming my cars.

How do you know your timing chain and tensioners are in good shape?
