I see this wired white round plug when I look under the trim that slides with roof operation. Does anyone know what this is for? It just doesnt look right sitting there loose.
Thnaks Graham, I can appreciate that but the cost of this plug would exceed the production cost to leave out or remove it. However I have seen dumber things with this car from Jaguar. But still, what a car! I hope someone knows what this is just to kill curiosity. I need to take the panel off anyway this winter to fix the trim peice that goes in and out with the roof so worst case I can trace the wire at that time.
It makes more sense to me to just have one standard loom that covers all of the commonly available options available when ordering the car than having dozens of different looms for each possible combination.
When you find the lose connector in the boot, don't bother asking about it. It's for the Shipping Relay which is removed by the original dealership. That relay protects the battery from going flat during shipping from Coventry.
