Doesn't it depend upon how far outwards you want to move the wheels?
Richard
Correct. But there is usually a consensus on what's appropriate for these cars. I may pull the trigger on an XKR-S and am curious as to what others are running without rubbing.
In that case I guess you must be referring to OEM standard rim offset and tyre sizes? I wouldn't have expected many owners to be fitting spacers in those circumstances but I stand to be corrected.
Wheel spacers aren't a good idea. But it's your car, your money, and your choice. Just know what can happen when you use them, which is why wheel spacers don't come from the factory.
As the first post in the above thread said, 20mm front, and 15mm rear, seems to be the common values used.
I have a set, had it for many years, but not installed, as I haven’t wanted to cut off part of the studs, yet.
I agree with the 20mm front 15mm rear assessment. That is what I used and it does look better, in my opinion. No rubs, still turns just like it is supposed to. With 15mm, you do have to grind off the wheel stud a little bit, but not as far as the threads. There is a small section of unthreaded stud that keeps the spacer from making good contact with the hub. Remove most of that, and you are good to go.
The only two problems with wheel spacers are excess wear on the axle bearings front and rear, and the front scrub radius will be off a bit.
Not huge problems, but they are actual.
I'd be fine with rear spacers. BUT................
On the fronts, just get an extra set of matching rear wheels and put THOSE on the front with a 5mm spacer. They fit perfectly well. Sell the fronts for probably the same $$$ as you pay for two more rears.
ADDED BONUS... You can then rotate your tires!

Thanks. I did the same when I had my F-Type so am familiar with the process. And pics of the stance on your ride with this setup?

I HAVE put the rears on the front, and they do fit nearly perfect. Only bad part... I put the fronts on the rears for that moment because I can't find any Nevis Rears for an XK that aren't thousands of dollars per set. Thousands of Nevis rears for the XF, but they are the wrong offset.
SO, when I finally do find another set of rears that aren't crazy money, I will again have rears on the fronts and on the rears... until I get wider rear wheels of some sort. FOR THE REARS....

This is the setup on your XKR? Which wheels do you have? Wondering how different your offset is compared to the XKR-S wheels. And also, who makes 20MM front spacers? H&R only lists 15mm's.

I think there are a number of makers/suppliers of 20 mm spacers for modern Jags, one for sure is Teeze.
I have Teeze 15 mm front and 20 mm rear, great quality and zero problems after years on the car, see here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3274...2-c19820e34402

Thanks. I'll probably look for some spacers here in the States since the lead times on these seem to be far out. Just wanting to confirm that there's no difference in offset between an XKR and XKR-S factory wheels.
After spacers with the grocery-getter in the background.
Looks great, but I belive the 4.2 and 5L had difference axel widths due to the e-diff in the 5.0 so 15mm for you might work for me, but I'm not entirely sure. Trying to get a 5.0 owner to chime in!
