XKR USB connection/interface
The Touch screen on my 2009 XKR 4,2 recently went blank. After taking the car to a dealer they reported that the screen would need replacing. I managed to source a second hand one from a 2007 XKR. After fitting it myself everything worked fine except for the audio function that does not show a AUX or USB function only A.M./F.M. & C.D. My question is did earlier XK's not have a USB & iPod connection in the centre armrest? or do I need to take it to a dealer who can program in this function. All the numbers on the back of the screen unit ( Part No C2P17716) match my faulty unit.
The software in the 2009 screen is different to the 2007, even if the hardware part number is the same.
It is possible to load the 2009 software to the screen but the dealer may not know how to do it.

I would clearly defer to Cambio on all things software but just my $.02
The 2007 Display unit (assuming its running 2007 software) had an option for an ACM but it must be enabled via IDS/SDD (usually a dealer but anyone with the cable and software).
Best,
